need a staff!

my focus bonuses are getting too low so I'm burning mana

so I need a new staff

one of these two would be nice

worn asterite wizard staff
slender ebony wizard staff

both found in barrows.
So if anyone happens to stumble across one... Ererim would be very happy to give it a good home.

The worn asterite stuff tends to be sub optimal (at least for the 2H axe). Quality is only 80%.

Does this influence the magical capabilities of a wiz staff?

Yeah casters can pretty much ignore quality

as they don't use them to do damage, and +2 ice is probably more useful than less damage when you get hit (which shouldn't be often...)

For melee types - crafted all the way, it makes a huge difference.

i have the slender ebony one (was saving for shirow) but i think its yellow at like 40ish

TEPOK is the place to get a mid/late 20s staff. Isude gave me a nice ice magic staff from there

got a Goblin Staff of earth magic... but it's no use if I'm using my baseline mana-eating ice DDs

and I keep forgetting to switch staves

maybe a goblin ice would do... if I can remember
